This week, meet Pierre!

My name is Pierre. I was a child of God for many years and sometimes I would feel empty and drained. One day I attended a sermon where the pastor asked: “Who would like to experience a deeper prayer life?”. I immediately stood to my feet. I prayed a prayer where I said: “Lord, please teach me to pray, please give me a hunger for prayer”. From that day on my life has never been the same. The desire to pray intensified daily.

My Prayer Life ‘Motto’

I once read a book where the writer stated that prayer is the breath of the soul. I thoroughly agree and have experienced how God works when I pray. I realized soon that He wants to send me into this world asking the same question the pastor asked me in that sermon. “Who would like to experience a deeper prayer life?”

My Desire

My desire is to help people to grow in their relationship with the Lord and to grow in their prayer life. I therefor enjoy praying with people and to encourage them to dive deeper into the Word of God by praying scripture over their life. I embrace the words of Hebrews 4:12: “For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart”.

Love For People

It is always difficult and very personal to share any of your thoughts, desires and emotions with someone who is praying for you. My mission at Need Prayer will always be to treat each client with respect, dignity, care, and love. Every person is unique, and every situation is unique. Sometimes I myself ask a friend or colleague to pray with me, and sometimes I still get tired and experience difficulties. It is imperative to have a friend who can pray with me in all circumstances.

James 5:16 says: “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. I want to be that friend to our clients when they need a person to pray with them.

Expectations

When we pray, we sometimes see the fruit of our prayer in a short while, but through my experience I realized that God takes time to build our character. That happens when God says we need to wait for the outcome of our prayers. It happens that God answer our prayers in a completely different way or time than expected. The true essence of prayer is to persevere and to pray continually and to know that God is faithful and trustworthy. Consistency is key to a powerful prayer life.

Conclusion

In summary, joining Need Prayer has been a big part of my ministry experience. I am an instrument in the hands of God and through the work of His Holy Spirit people can receive healing, restoration and comfort to move from brokenness to wholeness. I know there are people praying for me and with me, and that helps me to carry the ‘Good News’ to people across the world. You never know what the testimony of one person can do to impact the Kingdom of God. Submit a prayer request to get in touch with me.
