Introduction
My name is Lonia Mekhoa and I am a compassionate individual who wants to help others overcome obstacles in life. I joined Need Prayer, an online platform that helps people by means of prayer, because I believe in and have witnessed the power of prayer and the consolation it provides during difficult times. I wasn’t raised in a Christian household. When I was 12, I accepted Jesus Christ and I began to pray for my parents’ salvation. My father accepted Christ before he passed away and my siblings have all committed their lives to Christ. It took a while, but God eventually answered my prayers.
A Passion for Helping Others
Throughout my life, I have felt compelled to help others. This passion inspired me to look into different ways to serve, which included volunteering at Abbas Pride, a missionary wing of my local church, and joining prayer groups. The notion of being part of Need Prayer resonated to me immediately. I saw it as an opportunity to spread my empathy and faith beyond my immediate surroundings to people of various origins and experiences. It was an opportunity to be a part of a larger purpose, to bring comfort, hope, and spiritual support to those going through difficult times in their lives.

My experience at Need Prayer has been profound. One of the highlights of my time at Need Prayer has been having the opportunity to engage with people on a deep personal level.
